Abstract

Farhang e Anees (2 Vol.) by Naib Hussain Naqvi is the glossary of poetical texts of the most important poet, Meer Anees. This book is compiled by collecting all important word, idioms, compounds, phrases and some times ornamental words. He wrote all the meanings and very brief explanations according to the usage in text. He wrote a comprehensive preface in which he wrote about the basic rules of literary glossary and commented on their need. This essay is analytic in its nature to judge the basic features, value and worth of that book.
