Abstract

Language pervades social life. It is the principle vehicle for the transmission of cultural knowledge. In this article, the writer has proven the cultural importance of the Urdu language in the Indo-Pak subcontinent. The writer has also mentioned the background and history of the language and consequently established the need for people to treat Urdu with importance.
