Abstract

Stories are reflection of our social setup and social behaviours. Different characters are presented in stoires, to whom we feel in our surrounding. In Punjabi language some famous stories of romantic charactiers are presented in poetic style e.g. Heer Ranjha, Sassi Punnu, Yousaf ( AS ) Zulkha , Sohnimahiwaland SaifulMalook. These are love stories, but other ethical messages are delevered in these poetic stories. In this articlel the prominent element of w orld peace is entracted from these poetic love stories. This is a unique acpect of punjabi poetic stories. The article deals with the efforts of punjabi sufi poets regarding world peace in their poetic stories.
