اردو غزل: عہد بہ عہد

Abstract

Ghazal has become very prominent within the history of Urdu
Literature. Rodky published a Deewan in mid of 10th century. In
the century Ameer Khusro, fore-father of Urdu Ghazal in the
historical perspective in the 17th century Wali of Dukkhan
published his Deewan. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal introduced
un-counted topics and adopted new dimensions based on the
reality, atmosphere and the latest situation of the sub continent.
In the year 1935 some poets started introducing new but modern
thoughts in their poetry till today. Urdu Ghazal has become very
rich covering almost every topic and burning issues of the society
& day to day problems.
