Abstract

Muslim thinkers have rightly given importance to the Reconstruction of religious thougt in Islam when ever they felt the Muslim community need to look over the challenges facing due to any crises appearing within the Muslim society of faces by any foriegn intervention or rule. In South Asia such challenges have appeared when Muslims lived for a long time in a multy cultural and Hindu dominated society for centuries. Feeling the challenges that the Muslim community was facing in his time first Saiyyad Ahmad, Mujadid Alf Sani and Shah Waliullah invited Muslims to purify their life style by avoiding Hindusim.
