Abstract

Zameer jafri is among the widest known sketch writers. As great as his mastery over Urdu language was, his control over English literature did not fall short. His written works were compiled and made into three great books which contributed greatly towards the continuation of Urdu tradition. In addition to his profound use of language, his grip over circumstantiality, as well as his proficiency in explaining minute details and completely covering every aspect of the personality in question, is some of his important qualities. Through the analysis of zameer jafri’s sketches it becomes quite evident that he has complete dominance over his art. While peeking at the historical background, he can be seen utilizing all the important attributes of language to produce importance and a heart-clenching attractiveness in his sketches۔
