Abstract

This article is about Punjabi translation of Iqbal's famous Urdu poems. Name of the translator is Asghar Fahim who has also translated Iqbal's Persian poetry "Armaghan e Hijaz" and "Payam e Mashriq" beside his Urdu poems. These translations have great value in Punjabi language. Asghar Fahim has translated Iqbal's poetry not in the form of free verse but in the form as it is in Urdu. These translations open new doors of research for not only the researchers of Punjabi language and literature but for all the researchers who take interest in Iqbal's poetry and translation.
