اقبال کی غزل کا فنی سراپا

Abstract

Allama  Iqbal  was  an  epoch  making  poet  of  20th  C. he transformed the  dimension of  poetry  in  the  real  sense.  He adopted  the medium  of poetry  for  the propagation of his philosophical ideas.  He changed  the  superficial subject matter  of  Urdu  poetry  by  placing it  in  its  proper  historical perspective. He coined  new  expressions and  terms.  By introducing novel  similes and metaphors, he widened  the horizon  of Urdu poetry.  In its technical perfection, his poetry has  no  parallel.  His  style  is  unique  and  different. He bestowed a new vigor  upon  poetry  by changing its  form.  In this  article,  an  attempt  has  been  made  to  present  the technical structure of his ghazal.
