Abstract

The word  Afsana  in Urdu  literature has extensive meaning.  It has unique  analytic  principles  which depict the era. Afsana was started in America  in 19th century.  Munshie  Praim  Chand  supposed  to be "Short Story" writer  who has realistic  another unique  and  famous name  in short story writing is "Akhtar Jamal" She has unique techniques  and  themes.  Her short  stories  gave ethics, moral  lesson to  the  readers but  on  the  other  hand   her  characters has psychological  limit  and  scary  too. Her short  stories  mostly  depict urban and  official  life alongwith  disappoinment, monologue, surrealistic and  artistic skills which  depict  her era. This article shows the different  aspects and elements of her Afsana nigari.
