Abstract

No one can deny the Muslim quest for knowledge.The  concepts put by the Muslims form the basis of modern knowledge.  The Muslim rulers have a major role in the intellectual  decline that followed  the fall of Baghdad.  This essay presents  an overview  of the Muslim  contribution  and discuss the colonial Urdu text books of the colonial sub-continent.
