Abstract

Sa'adat Hassan Manto is an important  literary figure in the history  of Urdu short stories. Diversity in selection of topics and style of narration are most vivid qualities of his work. He was one of those writers who were well aware about nature of western revolutions  of that time. This article is an attempt to study Manto's  understanding  about human beings in context of existentialism and humanism.
