Abstract

Majlis e Tarraqi Adab has played important role in the development, preservation of Urdu literature and the tradition of Tadveen e Matn. Many Classical Urdu petry and prose texts have been edited and published by this institute. This article gives an overview of the role and contributions of Majlis e Taraqqi e Adab covering most of its prominent textual Scholars and prose works. In this article the author has not only recorded its contribution but also has highlighted the characteristics and peculiarity of this tradition of Tadveen e  Matn
